【Stage Competition Interactive】 Two-Player Oh Bear Dash | 2024 ITF Taiwan Pavilion - Hualien-Taitung Landmark Collection Motion-Sensing Race
Project Design Concept: To promote Hualien-Taitung tourism, Starlite Technology built a lively "two-player motion-sensing race" on the main stage of the ITF Taiwan Pavilion. Players take on the role of the Tourism Bureau mascot "Oh Bear," racing through the scenic Hualien-Taitung Rift Valley and coastline. Rather than the traditional obstacle-dodging parkour format, we designed a positive-feedback "landmark collection mechanic" — players must actively move their bodies to touch Hualien-Taitung attractions appearing along the route, such as Liyu Lake and Luye Highland. The more landmarks collected, the higher the score. This not only makes the game more satisfying to play, but also helps visitors form stronger impressions of the destinations through active engagement.
Interactive Experience Flow:
- Two-Player Head-to-Head: Two players stand in the sensing zone while a large screen displays both tracks in real time, creating a competitive atmosphere.
- Intuitive Motion-Sensing Controls: Players shift their bodies left and right to move Oh Bear across the screen.
- Landmark Touch Scoring: Well-known Hualien-Taitung landmarks and local specialties appear continuously along the route. Players must position themselves precisely to "collide" with these objects and earn points, competing to see who can collect the most and become the ultimate Hualien-Taitung travel expert.
