【Route Tourism Co-branding】 Rally! Kumamoto Castle | Tigerair Taiwan x Kumamoto, Japan - Motion-Sensing Parkour Interaction

Project Design Concept:

To address the limitations of static displays in traditional tourism pop-up stores, we built a motion-sensing interaction experience for Tigerair Taiwan x Kumamoto. It transforms Kumamoto's famous landmarks into digital ema wishing plaques. Participants use full-body left and right movement to catch falling objects within a time limit. The challenge is intuitive and entertaining, with a natural crowd-gathering effect. It works for both adults and children, and uses creative technology to effectively build public awareness of the Tainan–Kumamoto direct route.

Advantages of the Interactive Application:

  • Digital Translation of Tourism Elements: Kumamoto's well-known landmarks are seamlessly transformed into detailed ema wishing plaques. Combined with Japanese-style interface elements such as folding-fan score displays, the experience uses a familiar classic motion-sensing mechanic to lower the barrier to entry and maximise the marketing synergy of this cross-border tourism co-branding.
  • Wearable-Free, High-Precision Motion Sensing: Built on a mature motion-detection framework, participants can catch objects through body movement without wearing any device.
  • Crowd-Drawing Impact in Retail Environments: Designed for open retail environments such as MITSUI OUTLET PARK, the fast-paced, high-engagement motion-sensing challenge naturally draws attention. It effectively gathers crowds quickly during pop-up events and drives peak footfall at the show.
