【Motion-Sensing Q&A Application】 Explore a New Vision of Taipei | 2025 ITF Taipei Pavilion - Motion-Sensing Knowledge Challenge
Project Design Concept: To highlight the diverse appeal of Taipei City at the ITF travel fair, we moved away from traditional visitor guides and adopted a motion-sensing interaction Q&A format to engage the public. Using a modular Q&A system, we transformed Taipei's tourist attractions, history, culture, and food information into fun challenge questions. Visitors do not need to touch any public screen — they simply raise their left or right hand to make a selection. This intuitive, contactless approach successfully drew large numbers of families and young visitors to stop and take part, significantly increasing dwell time at the booth and improving the efficiency of information delivery.
Interactive Experience Flow:
- Sensor Activation: When a visitor enters the sensing zone, the screen mirrors their image in real time and enters a game standby state.
- Body Response: A fun question about Taipei tourism appears on screen (for example: "Where in Taipei can you find the most beautiful night view?"). The player raises their left or right hand to select the corresponding option (A/B or O/X) shown on screen.
- Instant Feedback: The system accurately reads the gesture. A correct answer triggers a vivid visual reward; an incorrect answer provides a short explanation of the right answer, achieving the goal of learning through play.
