【Gesture Floating Control】 Light Up Taiwan's Smart Map | 2024 Smart City Summit & Expo - Floating Light Orb Puzzle Interaction

Project Design Concept: At the Kaohsiung Smart City Summit & Expo, we used high-precision gesture floating tracking technology to design a puzzle game with a strong sense of technology. To showcase the real-world applications of 5G and AIoT across Taiwan, we designed the interactive interface as a map of Taiwan. Participants do not need to touch the screen — they simply move their hand in the air to control a "light orb" on the display, experiencing the fun of mid-air control reminiscent of a science fiction film.

Interactive Experience Flow:

• Wave to Activate: As visitors approach the screen, a wave of the hand wakes the system. The display shows the Taiwan map and the puzzle pieces waiting to be placed.
• Floating Light Orb Control: Move your hand to guide the light orb cursor on screen. Hold the orb over a puzzle piece for 2 seconds to "charge" it — once fully charged, the piece is "attracted" to the orb.
• Intuitive Drag-and-Drop: Drag the attached puzzle piece — representing a specific smart initiative such as smart agriculture — to the correct county or city on the Taiwan map, such as Pingtung or Kaohsiung. After completing the puzzle, participants receive an exclusive augmented reality (AR) composite commemorative photo.
