【Image Compositing Application】 A Photo Across Time and Space | 2022 Island in Progress - Real-Time Green-Screen Background Removal

Project Design Concept: In the "Island in Progress" exhibition, the goal was to help visitors quickly create a unique memory that resonated with the exhibition theme. We used the well-established "green-screen background removal (Chroma Key)" technique. With a simple green-screen setup and real-time processing algorithms, visitors could instantly find themselves placed within a variety of distinctly different virtual scenes. The entire process — from taking the photo to receiving a physical print — takes just 30 seconds, efficiently generating a large volume of content for social media sharing.

Interactive Experience Flow:

• Scene Selection: Visitors choose their preferred background theme on a touchscreen.
• Prop Posing: Visitors pick up fun prop signs or accessories provided on-site and strike their best pose in front of the green screen.
• Instant Print: The system automatically performs high-quality background removal and compositing. A physical photo is printed immediately after the shot is taken, giving visitors a tangible keepsake of their exhibition memory.
